This Subscription, Free Trial & Automatic Renewal Policy (“Subscription Policy”) explains the terms that apply to paid subscriptions offered by Bystander Sports (“Bystander Sports,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the 7-day free trial, recurring monthly billing, automatic renewal, and cancellation procedures.
By starting a free trial or purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms of this Subscription Policy, our Terms of Service, and any other applicable policies governing your use of Bystander Sports.
1. Subscription Service
Bystander Sports offers a paid subscription that may provide subscribers with access to private chat features, a weekly bulletin, and other subscriber-only content, features, or benefits that we may make available from time to time.
The specific features included with a subscription will be identified on the applicable subscription or checkout page.
2. 7-Day Free Trial
Unless otherwise stated at the time of enrollment, eligible new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial.
During the 7-day trial period, you may access the subscription benefits included with your selected plan.
The free trial automatically converts into a paid monthly subscription at the end of the 7-day trial unless you cancel before the trial ends.
You will not be charged the regular monthly subscription fee during the 7-day free trial. However, if you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your payment method will be charged the applicable monthly subscription price at the end of the trial.
The applicable monthly price will be displayed to you before you complete enrollment.
3. Automatic Monthly Renewal
After the 7-day free trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis unless you cancel it.
For example:
You start your free trial on January 1.
Your 7-day trial ends on January 8.
If you have not canceled, your monthly subscription begins and your payment method is charged the applicable monthly subscription price.
Your subscription will then automatically renew approximately every month until you cancel.
Your subscription will continue renewing automatically unless and until you cancel it in accordance with the cancellation procedure described below.
4. Billing Interval and Charges
The subscription is billed monthly.
After the 7-day free trial, you will be charged the applicable monthly subscription price for each billing period.
The amount you will be charged will be displayed before you subscribe. Any applicable taxes or other charges that are required to be collected will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the information presented during checkout.
You authorize Bystander Sports and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the applicable subscription charges.
5. What Happens If You Cancel During the Free Trial
You may cancel your subscription during the 7-day free trial to prevent the trial from converting into a paid monthly subscription.
If you cancel during the free trial:
You will not be charged the regular monthly subscription fee for the upcoming paid subscription period.
Your access to the subscription benefits may continue through the remainder of the applicable trial period, consistent with the subscription terms displayed when you enrolled.
Your subscription will not automatically convert into the paid monthly subscription after the trial ends.
To avoid being charged, you should cancel before the 7-day trial period expires.
6. How to Cancel Your Subscription
If you decide that you no longer want your subscription, you may cancel it directly through your Bystander Sports account where self-cancellation is available.
Cancellation Steps
Log in to your Bystander Sports account.
Go to your Profile or Account menu.
Select My Subscriptions.
Locate your active Bystander Sports subscription.
Click More Actions (three dots or an arrow) next to the active plan.
Select Cancel Subscription.
Follow the prompts and confirm your cancellation.
Important
If you are canceling during your 7-day free trial, cancel before the trial expires to prevent the subscription from converting to a paid monthly subscription.
If you are canceling an already-paid monthly subscription, cancellation stops the subscription from renewing for the next billing period. Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly provided in our refund policy, cancellation does not automatically create a refund for a payment that has already been made.
7. Cancellation Takes Effect
When you cancel an active subscription, the cancellation generally prevents the subscription from automatically renewing for the next billing period.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of cancellation, you will NOT continue to receive access to subscription benefits through the remainder of the period for which you have already paid.
When canceling free and one-time payment plans, it takes effect immediately. For example, if you cancel a monthly plan after 2 weeks use, the client does not have access to services/content for the last 2 weeks of the month.
Canceling a subscription does not necessarily mean that previously paid subscription fees will be refunded.
8. Refunds
Cancellation and refunds are separate matters.
Unless Bystander Sports expressly states otherwise or a refund is required by applicable law, canceling a subscription does not automatically result in a refund of a payment that has already been processed.
Any applicable refund will be handled according to Bystander Sports' refund policy and applicable law.
9. Failed Payments
Failed payments automatically cancel a subscribers plan. If a payment cannot be successfully processed, Bystander Sports or its payment processor may attempt to collect the outstanding amount using the payment method associated with your account, subject to applicable payment-processing rules.
If payment remains unsuccessful, we may suspend or terminate access to paid subscription features.
10. Changes to Subscription Pricing
Bystander Sports may change subscription pricing in the future, subject to applicable law.
If the price of your subscription changes, we will provide any notice required by applicable law before the new price applies.
A price change will not retroactively change charges that have already been processed.
11. Changes to Subscription Benefits
The features and benefits included with a subscription may change from time to time.
Bystander Sports may add, modify, replace, or discontinue particular features or content, subject to applicable law and the terms of our Terms of Service.
12. Your Responsibility to Maintain Accurate Billing Information
You are responsible for maintaining accurate and current account and payment information.
If your payment method expires, is replaced, or otherwise becomes invalid, you should update your payment information through your account or through the applicable payment-processing system.
13. Consent to Recurring Charges
By enrolling in a subscription that includes a 7-day free trial, you acknowledge that:
You are receiving a 7-day free trial.
The trial will automatically convert into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
The subscription will be billed monthly after the trial.
The subscription will automatically renew each month unless canceled.
You authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method.
You understand how to cancel the subscription.
Bystander Sports will present the applicable subscription price and material billing terms during the enrollment process.
14. Contact Regarding Your Subscription
If you experience a problem canceling your subscription, have a question about a charge, or believe your subscription was not canceled correctly, please contact Bystander Sports through the contact information provided on our website.
When contacting us about a subscription, please provide the email address associated with your Bystander Sports account and, if applicable, information identifying the relevant transaction.
15. Relationship to Other Website Policies
This Subscription Policy supplements and forms part of the Bystander Sports Terms of Service.
Your use of Bystander Sports, including any subscription services, is also subject to our other applicable website policies, including our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
If there is a conflict between this Subscription Policy and another Bystander Sports policy concerning subscription billing, free trials, automatic renewal, or cancellation, this Subscription Policy will control those specific matters unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Applicable Law
Nothing in this Subscription Policy is intended to limit any rights or protections provided to consumers under applicable federal, state, or local law.
